Workers Get Fit With Workplace Health Project

Hampton Knight has been selected to deliver a three-month project to support the staff of Tamworth businesses boost their health and wellbeing.

The workplace health project is being funded by Tamworth Borough Council in partnership with Staffordshire County Council and run by Hampton Knight.

The three-month project is aimed at small and medium-sized businesses in Tamworth employing fewer than 250 employees awhere staff are seated for most of the working day.

Businesses that sign up to the workplace health project will be able to take advantage of five packages, tailored to fit their needs.

The packages include literature and promotional items, presentations, lifestyle assessments and workshops.

Businesses in Tamworth are now being encouraged to sign up to the project, which has limited spaces offered on a first come, first served basis.

Cllr Stephen Doyle, Cabinet member for Communities and Public Health, said: 

“Improving the wellbeing of the people of Tamworth is one of the Borough Council’s top priorities.

“By funding this project, along with Staffordshire County Council, we are helping employers to support their staff to improve and maintain their wellbeing. This project ensures that even more people have access to healthy lifestyle support.”
